FAQs & Policies

Our flowers can be found Saturdays at the Bellingham Farmers Market, April-November, and at our seasonal farmstand when it is open. Please email for special orders. We are happy to accommodate birthdays, anniversaries, and other life events.

The farm is not open to the public. However, we do host many events each year. These are great opportunities to visit the farm and see what is blooming. Please check out our on-farm events page for more information.

We do not offer weekly U-pick on the farm. During the Bellingham Dahlia Festival, we will have a U-pick opportunity on the farm.

It's best to send us an inquiry for wedding or event DIY buckets. This way we can ensure your color palette and order. We require a 50% deposit to book. Event Bucket FAQs

Our DIY Flower Buckets are a wonderful, budget-friendly way to bring seasonal, farm-fresh beauty to your wedding or special event. They’re perfect for creative couples, families, and friends who want the joy of arranging their own flowers while saving on costs. Each bucket is filled with a curated mix of stems, freshly harvested from our fields at their peak. These are the same flowers used by many local florists.

One bucket of 80 stems will usually fill 6-8 wide-mouth quart mason jars or make 2-3 moderate-size attendant bouquets, for reference. A large bridal bouquet is often 40-50 stems. If you are using bud vases, one bucket should fill 20. If you would like assistance in estimating flowers, we can provide that for a consultation fee.

Your flowers are cut from the field 1-2 days before pickup, appropriately hydrated, and housed in a climate-controlled cooler. We recommend transporting your purchases in a covered, air-conditioned vehicle with flat surfaces appropriate for buckets. To ensure continued freshness, keep flowers out of direct sunlight and store them in a cool, dark place. Flowers can easily be ruined if transported in the back of a pickup.

Stems will need to be trimmed, arranged, and placed into bouquets, vases, or installations. You’ll want to have basic floral supplies on hand (such as clippers, tape, buckets, and vases). Plan for transportation and plenty of helping hands. Arranging often takes longer than expected, especially before a big event.

We do our very best to honor your requested colors, but our flowers are always selected from what is in season and at its most beautiful. This means we cannot guarantee specific colors or varieties, but you will always receive a fresh, lush mix of what’s blooming in our fields. There is almost always something close to your color blooming. If there is strong opposition to a specific flower, we will not use it.

DIY buckets will be available for pickup 1-2 days before your event, usually in the morning hours. You can schedule your pickup Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm and Sunday by appointment. This helps ensure cool temperatures for transportation, though we can accommodate other times as needed. We do not offer delivery for event buckets.

Please send us a request to ensure we can meet your needs. A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of booking and is the only way to secure your date. We do sell out in the summer months, so we recommend booking early to guarantee your spot.

These stems have been cleaned and prepped so they are ready to use, with excess foliage removed and stems cut to an appropriate bouquet size.

We do not provide a U-cut option.

DAHLIA TUBER policy

First of all, thank you for considering a purchase from a small business and supporting a dream.

We guarantee each tuber will have one eye, a neck, and a body. Some tubers are slower to wake up than others, and not all tubers received will have growth initially. Tubers come in all shapes and sizes, and some plants make smaller tubers than others. Refunds are not given for small tubers. Please report any concerns within 7 days of receiving your tuber. We cannot be held responsible for weather, growing conditions, improper storage, pest damage, tuber performance, or negligence. Refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Refunds given will never exceed the cost of the tuber.

All tubers will say "sold out" until the sale goes live. The night before the sale, the inventory will be removed to update quantities. Sign up for Tuber Sale Alerts to be notified right before the sale goes live.

We ship USPS. Shipping is a $7 fee, and each additional tuber is $1. We offer free shipping on orders over $75 (code FREESHIP).

If you fail to pick up your order at the designated time, you will be charged a $20 service charge along with shipping. Please choose "local pickup" only if you can pick up.

We are inspected by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and passed inspection to sell tubers. We use methods to prevent viruses and diseases, do our absolute best in prevention, and throw away anything that looks suspicious. That being said, there is no 100% guarantee.
