Join us for the Bellingham Dahlia Festival, a late-summer celebration of thousands of blooming dahlias at Bellingham Flower Farm. Wander vibrant flower fields, take in sweeping views of the North Cascades, and experience one of the most colorful times of year on the farm.

If you love visiting local flower farms in Whatcom County, this is your chance to experience dahlias at their peak—right here in Bellingham.

Why Visit Our Dahlia Festival

Late summer is when dahlias truly shine—and our fields are planted specifically for bloom production, giving you a dense, immersive experience you won’t find just anywhere.

While many farms in the region offer beautiful displays, our festival focuses on:

  • High-bloom density for maximum color

  • 3 more acres of flowers other than dahlias

  • Greenhouse viewing

  • Hands-on experiences like U-cut and workshops

Plan Your Visit

  • Wear comfortable shoes for walking the fields

  • Use Google Maps. The farm is located at 5709 Putnam Rd 98247.

  • Bring a camera—this is peak photo season

  • Arrive early for the best flower selection for U-cut

  • Bring sunscreen, water bottles and hats. Please no pets.

  • Please no professional photography sessions during the event. Please email us to schedule a photography time on the farm.

Juanita’s Taco Truck: serves authentic Mexican food in Whatcom County

Next Generation Farmstead: A small, family-owned farm. Raising, pork, poultry and eggs on pasture.

Matt Van Photography: Wildlife Photographer who focuses on local wildlife.

Farmette Fresh: Hand crafted jam and jelly made with Whatcom county berries.

Tangled Roots: Yard games and arcade rentals. Games will be available at no charge to play during the festival.

Art and Happiness: Troupe of Fairies who provide Joy for humans all across Whatcom County! Find us for face painting, balloon animals as well as magic and happiness!

Brooke Larabee Art: Pacific northwest themed, hand printed Linocut prints and paper cuts.

Poppy & Pomegranate: Bouquet making workshop, candles and locally made T-shirts

2nd Bloom Jewelry: giving forgotten jewelry a “second bloom”. Repurposing unwanted jewelry and glass beads that date back to the 1960’s into new pieces.

Antler Bakery: Woman-owned bakery providing treats made from scratch. Best known for cookies sandwiches and jumbo Krispy Treats.
